Kostas V. Katsoularis (Arta, 1968) studied economics in Athens, cinema in Paris, and literature in Thessaloniki. He has published nine books of prose and a play, and his short stories have been included in anthologies. One of his short stories has been included in the German anthology "Athens, a Literary Invitation". His novella "The Man Who Loved My Wife" has been translated into Turkish, and his novella "Dead Dog at Midnight" has been translated into English, Spanish, and Hebrew. His play "When the Wolf is Here" (Polis, 2005) was staged in Athens, Thessaloniki, and at festivals in Turkey.

For his collection of short stories "Night Current" (Polis, 2015), he was awarded the short story prize by the magazine "O Anagnostis" and the Petros Haris Prize by the Academy of Athens. His novel "A Bronze Heart in the Chest" (Metaixmio, 2018) was nominated for the State Novel Award and for Best Novel at the "O Anagnostis" and "Klepsydra" awards. His collection of short stories, "Afaia kai Telamon" (Metaixmio, 2021), was honored with the Public Bookstore Audience Award. His latest book, "Stumbling on Open Borders" (Patakis, 2024), is a conversation with Demosthenes Kourtovik.

He has translated literary works from French, including those by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos, Honoré de Balzac and Michel Houellebecq.

In recent years (2017–present), he teaches creative writing in the Creative Writing Master's Program at the Hellenic Open University.

He has collaborated on screenplays or as an editor with directors such as Dimitris Indares, Dimitris Lymberopoulos, Panagiotis Portokalakis, Filippos Tsitos, and others. He was a member of the Screenplay Reading and Evaluation Committee at the Greek Film Center.

He co-founded (2009) and continues to run the online portal for books and culture www.bookpress.gr.

In June 2025, he was elected President of the Hellenic Authors' Society.
