HATZIANTONIOU, KOSTAS

Kostas Hatziantoniou was born in 1965 in Rhodes. Novelist, essayist and historian, made his first appearance in literature in 1990 as editor of the magazine “Remvi”. Since then he has published short stories, essays, historical and critical studies, and three novels: the first of them (“Agrigento”- 2009) has been awarded by the European Union Prize for Literature (2011) and has been translated in Italy, Croatia, Poland, Albania, Serbia and Slovenia. He has been awarded also by PEN Club of Greece for his essays’ collection “Against the Time” (2008). He is a member of Hellenic Authors’ Society, member of and Executive Committee of Kostis Palamas Foundation and director of literary magazine “Koralli”.
