GLYNIADAKIS, KRYSTALLI
Krystalli was born in Athens in 1979. She holds a BSc in Philosophy and an MSc in Political Theory from the London School of Economics & Political Science, an MA in Philosophy of Religion from King’s College London, and in Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia, and a PhD in Media and Communications (i-doc) from Bournemouth University (https://phocaea1914.org/ )
She is a translator of Norwegian (primarily) literature, and works also as a journalist and columnist for Norwegian and Greek Media (Agenda Magasin / Dagsavisen / Το Βήμα της Κυριακής / Inside Story). For many years she worked in different publishing houses either as non-fiction editor or rights manager.
She’s translated the poetry of Frank O’Hara, Adrienne Rich, Orhan Veli Kanık, Nazim Hikmet, Attila İlhan, Nordahl Grieg, Michal Symmons Roberts, David Harsent, Simon Armitage, Fiona Sampson, and Eileen Myles into Greek, as well as short stories by Christos Economou and Kallia Papadaki into English.
Her own poetry has been translated in English, German, Italian, Finnish, Turkish, and Slovenian, and included in various poetry collections (from Penguin, NYRB, UEA Publishing, Enostone Kustannus, and others).
She writes in both Greek and English
