AMANATIDIS, VASSILIS
He studied Archaeology and Art History in Thessaloniki.
He has published seven collections of poetry (Dormitory: Nine
nocturnal parables, House of ice, Thirtythree, Summer indoors, 4-D:
Four-Dimensional Poems, 7: poetry for video games, μ_otherpoem:
mono-logue) and two collections of short-stories (Don’t eat me and
Charybdi’s Dog). Two of his theatrical plays were staged in
Thessaloniki.
His poems have been translated into eleven languages and have been
included in anthologies and literary journals.
He has translated into Greek the works of well known writers and
poets (Witold Gombrowicz, Isaac Bashevis Singer, e. e. cummings,
Anne Carson).
He has performed in international festivals in Italy, Sweden, UK,
Wales, Germany among others.
